Charles Barugahare holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Makerere University. He further pursued his Master of Business Administration at the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI). To enhance his expertise, he completed a Doctor of Business Administration at Atlantic International University. His academic achievements lay a strong foundation for his roles in finance and management, enabling him to contribute effectively to FinanceLIP’s mission.

Charles Barugahare has over 25 years of experience in financial advisory and management. He has served in various prestigious positions, including as the University Secretary at Makerere University, where he was responsible for overseeing administrative functions and financial governance. His extensive background also includes working with organizations such as Care International and The Aids Support Organisation (TASO). Currently, he leads initiatives focused on financial literacy, notably the 30-Day Personal Finance Improvement Challenge, which reflects his commitment to empowering individuals through better financial management. This experience is invaluable to FinanceLIP, as it enhances the organization’s efforts in promoting financial education and improving personal finance skills among the community
