In a world where financial literacy remains a critical challenge, FinanceLIP (Finance Literacy Improvement Program) is taking proactive steps to address this issue head-on. We are excited to announce the launch of our upcoming webinar series: Outright Financial Matters designed to improve ability to take more charge of our financial lives.

The “Outright Financial Matters” webinar series will feature experienced financial professionals who will guide you through critical financial concepts, practices, experiences, lessons and actions to facilitate creating positive change and impact.

Why You Need Financial Literacy

Did you know that according to a recent S&P Global FinLit Survey, only one-third of adults worldwide are considered financially literate? In Uganda, the situation may be even more concerning, with a Daily Monitor report from April 15th, 2024, indicating that 7 out of 10 Ugandans spend more than they earn. This lack of financial literacy can lead to increased financial stress for individuals and the repercussions of financial distress extend beyond individuals, impacting economies on a larger scale.

As Sunday Adelaja aptly stated, “most people in the world don’t know anything about money except they want it and need it.” The “Outright Financial Matters” series aims to bridge this knowledge gap and equip you with the tools you need to take control of your financial future.
